This September, Dr Jas Sutcliffe joins Heartwood for a limited facial acupuncture residency.

For the month of September, Heartwood welcomes Dr Jas Sutcliffe, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, for a special residency dedicated to facial acupuncture.

Combining our signature sandalwood products with facial acupuncture, gua sha, and facial massage, Jas’s treatments are designed to lift, tone and sculpt the appearance of the face while supporting skin vitality and deep relaxation.

For those who already love a Heartwood facial, this is a new treatment experience grounded in our philosophy to feel beautiful.

ABOUT DR JAS SUTCLIFFE

Jas qualified in the UK with First Class Honours in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and is registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and AHPRA.

With more than a decade of experience, Jas brings a highly considered approach to facial acupuncture, combining her clinical training with an appreciation for beauty, skin health and restorative treatment.

Facial acupuncture uses very fine needles placed at carefully selected points across the face and body.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT?

Jas begins with carefully selected acupuncture points on areas such as the feet, hands and shoulders, complementing the facial treatment while encouraging relaxation.

Very fine needles are then gently placed across the face and left in position for approximately 20 minutes.

Depending on the treatment, Jas may also use delicate intradermal needles in targeted fine lines to stimulate the skin’s natural healing response and support collagen production.

The acupuncture is followed by sculpting gua sha and facial massage, helping to encourage lymphatic drainage, release tension and enhance facial definition.

The result is a treatment that is highly targeted yet deeply restorative.

Sandalwood has a long history of use within traditional wellness practices, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, where it has been valued for centuries.

For Jas’s Heartwood residency, that connection takes on a distinctly Heartwood expression.

Indian sandalwood, Heartwood skincare and facial massage are incorporated into the treatment ritual, complementing the precision of acupuncture with touch, scent and skincare.

THE FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS

COLLAGEN + CONTOURING ACUPUNCTURE FACIAL

60 minutes | $250

A facial acupuncture treatment designed to improve radiance, lift, tone and revitalise.

A full facial acupuncture session is followed by sculpting gua sha to encourage lymphatic flow, reduce the appearance of puffiness, fine lines and enhance facial definition. 

Best for: Brightening skin, lifting and defining facial contours.

COMPLETE COLLAGEN + CONTOURING ACUPUNCTURE FACIAL

90 minutes | $320

This treatment combines facial and body acupuncture with delicate intradermal needles placed into targeted fine lines to support the skin’s natural collagen response.

A contouring gua sha massage follows the acupuncture experience to encourage lymphatic drainage and enhance facial definition, before 15 minutes of slow facial, neck and head massage incorporating Heartwood Indian sandalwood skincare.

Best for: Intensive facial definition, fine lines and luminosity.
